School holidays were on this September. The slower pace in the mornings made me happy. There wasn’t that mad rush to get out the door. I would make the kids French toast for breakfast and we would sit down together at the table – normally its quick, here’s some toast for you as they are walking out the door!
Here is what else made me happy this month 🙂

This bowl of Kipfler potatoes! I didn’t realise how delicious these potatoes were…they came from the school garden. The kids roasted them for their cooking class and I got to take some freshly harvested ones home.

I love the many moods the ocean can have. Nature was being wild this day. The wind was howling and sky overcast. I enjoyed walking amongst it and feeling that freshness a day like this brings.

Discovering this tasty treat. I tried to save some for later….I really did 🙂 Also, it makes me happy buying a product that benefits a community.

The school holidays brought out the entrepreneurial kids. I bought these two massive Reed avocados from some kids selling them by the side of the road…Reed avocados are my fave avocados, so creamy and because they are large so much avocado 🙂

Harvesting the last of the Tuscan kale in the patch. These kale plants have fed me the last few months. For the cost of a punnet of seedlings – $2.50 so happy with that.

The prettiness of this citronella geranium flower. Got this plant from cuttings and I have never seen it flower so it was a happy moment seeing this beauty.

The quirkiness of this seed pod. I love that the kids and I can still be amazed by a cool looking seed pod.

School holiday adventures – a beach trip is always a happy one!
