March. Feeling like I have settled into routine…until the Easter Long Weekend and the start of school holidays! Didn’t school just start? Spending time over the Easter break with friends, sharing delicious food, swimming in our local waterhole made me happy this month.
This is what else made me smile 🙂

Vibrant purple tibouchina flowers. These trees made the street so bright sunnies were needed!

The prettiness of a sage flower.

More flowers….delicate beauty of the garlic chives starting to flower. I grew these from seed that I collected from Gympie TAFE veggie patch. Horticulture is no longer being taught there so the small veggie patch which was maintained by students is no longer there. The spirit of those garlic chives are living on in my patch now.

Helping the kids make a lasagna garden at the local primary school. I love watching the kids learn gardening skills in a hands on way.

Finally making my own sourdough bread….this has been on my to do list for ages. Everyone was laughing at how happy I was…it was tasty as well.

A dish full of peaches and figs, drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with cinnamon, baked at 180 degrees for around 40 mins….makes for a delicious breaky treat, happy kids and happy mum.

Afternoon dragon fruit snack. This urban dragonfruit came from a friend who lives in a busy inner city suburb. Food can be grown amongst the concrete high rises!

The dragonfruit flowers which greeted me on my early morning walk. Theese beauties fade as the morning goes on…always brings a smile when I see an explosion of dragonfruit flowers because I know it will be fleeting.
