January. Life in still in holiday mode. I actually did get to jump on a plane and fly down to Melbourne with only one kid (I have four) and catch up with family and friends. Yay! That made me happy.
Here are snapshots of what else made me happy in January…..

Rescuing this tree frog that was on our peanut butter jar! Poor frog was dehydrated. Some non-chlorinated water bought him back to life. Back into the garden he went.

Borrowing my friend’s dog, Rory for a run along the beach. He made a handsome beach companion.

Finding out that this was a Tigeress lily. What an appropriate name for this flower!

Seeing these brightly coloured heliconias in my garden. Great way to start off my day.

Much needed rain! The kids had a blast jumping in puddles. The garden greened right up.
How about you? What made you happy in January – Please feel free to share in the comments below.
Wow I loved the tigress lily and my the brightly coloured plants you can grow in Qld . Enjoy those special moments . I found a beautiful flower in my fernery and the name escapes me, but for this little old lady it made me smile and thank it for the pleasure it gave to me.
My husband dug out an old garden bed and added Mumballup Magic compost for planting vegies in and then made me three beautiful Jarrah vegy boxes to plant in. He had to pull up pavers to install the boxes and pinned them in with stakes inside to secure them down. Wish I could put a photo in here for you to see them.
Hi Denice
Those veggies boxes sound awesome. 🙂
If you want to send a pic to sales@gardenware.com.au I’ll pop it up it this post.
